Sitting at the most westerly point on the British mainland, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse is definitely worth a visit. Built in 1849, it is the only Egyptian-style lighthouse in the world.  With foghorn, engine room and keeper's cottage, you can discover the lifestyle of a lighthouse keeper plus the house's technology.   You can also havelunch or a drink at the Stables Cafe.
